LIVONIA, MICH. and COLUMBIA, S.C., October 20, 2000 -- Mynd Corporation (NYSE:YND), announced today that RISKMASTER/World™, its award-winning Windows-based risk management information system (RMIS), is now available as a browser-based system called RISKMASTER.net™. Mynd will be demonstrating RISKMASTER.net at several industry trade shows in November and December: American Society for Healthcare Risk Management, Risk Management and Employee Benefits Conference and Exhibition, and National Workers’ Compensation & Disability Conference and Exhibit.

RISKMASTER.net’s features include its highly intuitive and flexible operation; support for Property, Casualty, General Liability and Workers’ Compensation claims; module-based security; user-defined supplemental fields and search forms; server-side document management; workflow via standard eMail systems; SORTMASTER™ server reporting; automated report production and distribution; multiple report file formats; and server-side installation/maintenance/upgrades.

RISKMASTER.net’s XML-based architecture streamlines the exchange of data among those processing, managing and analyzing claims via the Internet because XML eliminates many problems associated with incompatible data formats. As a result, self-insured organizations, third party adjusters, insurance pools, and insurance companies can share claims data and reports faster, better and cheaper via eMail, browser, file, and live feeds. RISKMASTER.net supports multiple servers and is a scalable, thin client system facilitated by standard HTML programming. It is also a Windows-2000 compatible application that automatically generates reports in pdf files, which are eMailed to designated recipients.
