Cambridge, Mass. (June
27, 2002) Delphi Technology, Inc. (dti), the leading
provider of technology solutions to the risk and insurance market, announces that the
University of Michigan, (UMich) a higher education institution founded in 1817, has
purchased dti's OASIS Claims and Internet Incident Reporting systems for its self-insured,
self-administered operations.
Joelle Lummis, Vice President of Sales at dti, states, "dti was very attracted to
working with the University of Michigan from the beginning, especially since we both
espouse the "win-win" partnership philosophy and the fact that University will
be using the system for workers comp, med mal and other claims. We very much look forward
to working with the University
Paul Moggach, Risk Manager at UMich, comments "The University is an advanced user of
risk management concepts and technology. Our biggest need was not just for new 'bells
& whistles' in claim processing, but to provide a more efficient system of claim
processing. DTI's OASIS system met that need."
UMich will be utilizing dti's comprehensive OASIS Claims Management system to manage
workers' compensation, general liability, commercial auto and medical malpractice claims
for the University Hospital. UMich will also be implementing the OASIS Internet Incident
Reporting system, for on-line incident reporting with a direct entry into OASIS Claims.
