Risk Technologies Introduces ASP-Hosted RTI Coverage Express
For Instant Policy Access and Coverage Verification
[Dallas] February 9, 2001 -- Risk
Technologies, Inc., an independent risk management systems solutions provider, today
announced the availability of Coverage Express, a flexible automated coverage and
policy verification service offered through a hosted application service provider (ASP)
environment. The service is ideally suited for insurance carriers and MGAs (managing
general agencies) to support coverage verification for their contracted third-party claims
administrators and others without access to the carrier's internal policy management
system. The service is offered with customization to promote increased levels of
functionality, and may be hosted by RTI or at the carrier locations. Coverage Express
supports on-demand, on-line access to a carrier's policy data repositories worldwide, and
features pre-determined security and access levels allowing the user to assess coverage
responsibilities of a claim submission on behalf of the carrier. Optionally, the
application can be integrated with RiskVision, the core claims management-processing
engine, to automate the validation processes for the administrating party. ASP delivery of
Coverage Express circumvents the high cost and inefficiency of verbal "Coverage Express is another step by RTI in our effort to be the
leader in providing the backbone for the "virtual insurance organization," said
Mickey Coverage Express integrates easily and effectively with a carrier's legacy operational system and can interface with whatever delivery channel is best suited for the client and their supporting claims administrators, such as the Web, direct line, intranet, etc. The service also comes with a standard set of operational reports. The release of Coverage Express supports RTI's continued expansion into the flourishing ASP space. ASPs have emerged in various business-to-consumer and business-to-business service industries as a promising model in the delivery of software solutions for "on-the-spot" decisions.
