RISK TECHNOLOGIES, INC. OPENS CALIFORNIA OFFICE

[Mansfield, Texas] August 1, 2000 -- The Texas-based company has clients throughout the country, and has experienced tremendous growth in California over the last several years. "Much of our success can be attributed to our knowledge of the complex California insurance market", said Chuck Allen, president.

With the addition of several new customers, we decided to have a base for our West Coast operations.

The office is located on Coronado Island, across the bay from downtown San Diego. Mickey Mikesell, former Senior Vice President and CIO for Ward North America, Inc., will head the new office. He and his staff will provide local assistance to West Coast clients and develop new markets for Risk Technologies.

Mikesell, along with Allen, co-founded Risk Technologies in 1988. RTI has become the premier risk management information services company specializing in custom software solutions, data conversion services, and the development of complex data reporting systems (e.g., electronic report distribution, EDI, data interfaces, data repositories, etc.)  The company offers the RiskVision™ Suite of software tools and a comprehensive Internet Systems for the insurance industry.

Risk Technologies, Inc. is based in Mansfield, Texas.
